Surf Event
Expression Session
The annual Seasession Expression Session will give the top local surfers the chance to compete against the top Pros from around Europe. The emphasis is always on high performance moves and cash prizes will be on offer. This year the level of surfing will be upped by the arrival of Pros from the UK and Beyond.
Big Wave comp
We have a prize worth a 1000euros to the biggest wave photographed between the launch of our tickets on the 18th of November until the day of the festival. The prize will be split between the photographer and surfer
Online Surf Comp
This year will also see the launch of the Seasessions Online Surf Comp. Surfers or videographer/photographers can upload video/photo clips to compete for some great prizes. There will be different categories including Best move and Best Barrel. Will also for the first time have a best Bodyboard move.
Surf/Extreme Sports Film festival
2011 will see the start of the Seasessions Extreme Sports Film Festival. The film festival will showcase the best of International and local Extreme Sports movies. The festival will have an International award for full length films and will also have an award for short films for local film makers to gain recognition.
Tag Rugby
Seasessions was delighted with the response to the Tag Rugby in 2010 and has decided to expand the competition and is offering 500euro plus festival hospitality to the winning team. The event will have a competitive and fun level.
Beach Soccer
Seasessions 2011 will also have a Beach Soccer comp with again with some great prizes on offer. There will be an exhibition matched played by some old legends of the game as well as an open competition open to all.
Ultimate frisbee
Seasessions will also for the first time have an ultimate Frisbee beach comp.
Ultimate frisbee , if you havn't heard of it before, is a mixed non-contact team sport involving two teams of 5 players (7 on grass) playing on a rectangular pitch trying to score points in opposing endzones.
The sport is played by 1000's the world over and next year will see the world beach championships held in Italy. The Irish national team is coming along to show case this growing sport.
